Vyta Santa Margherita at Florence’s Santa Maria Novella station
The network in Italy of Vyta Santa Margherita outlets, the boulangeries that "keep travelers company" along the length of the country’s main rail routes, continues to grow: in fact the "refreshment point" in Florence has just been inaugurated, in one of the country’s most attractive stations, Santa Maria Novella, the jewel of the Italian rationalist style designed in the 1930s by architect Giovanni Michelucci.
Vyta Santa Margherita is located in the old First Class waiting room of the Florence station. Like all the Vyta establishments, it will offer travelers an opportunity to take a break and have a bite to eat during their journey, enjoying Italy’s finest food products as well as the wines of Santa Margherita and of the other wineries that make up the Group’s prestigious "mosaic" of producers.
Exceptional care in the refurbishment of the premises in fact goes hand in hand with an exhaustive search for the very best-quality ingredients, both for the bakery and restaurant parts of the establishment. From the food to the service, everything has been planned to make a break at a Vyta a moment to be savored to the full.
To accompany Vyta’s exclusive food specialties there is a selection - from the Alto Adige to Sicily – of the wines from the Santa Margherita Wine Group: Classic Method sparkling wines; Prosecco; Pinot Grigio; whites from several of Italy’s other terroirs; Malbech, Pinot Nero and Chianti Classico, all great red wines that are notable for their strong sense of identity and personality.
With Firenze Santa Maria Novella, there are now eight Vyta boulangeries available to travelers in Italy: a veritable Grand Tour of Italy’s flavors and top-quality products.
