          There is certainly no need to introduce Jancis Robinson. The Decanter magazine def ned her “the most

          respected wine critic and journalist in the world”, while Queen Elizabeth appointed her OBE, Of  cer
          of the British Empire, picking her as Royal Wine Cellar Consultant. But the list of awards is really long
          and it also includes all the prizes received by her best-seller books and by the website JancisRobinson.
          com, an essential landmark for wine lovers in 100 countries. She can therefore be def ned an authority

          in this area, being also the f rst person outside the wine trade to pass the strict Master of Wine exam
          in 1984. We’ve asked Jancis Robinson to tell us a few details about her career and she answered with
          extreme precision and a perfect British sense of humour.
