A “sell-out” debut for the Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. line with its new packaging: the new bottle and the new labels attracted the interest of those present at Vinitaly, who crowded our stand during all 4 days of the fair in Verona.
Everybody liked the classic (but unconventional) shape of the new bottle; its “alternative” color compared to the prevailing trend; and the way it seeks to highlight the excellent quality of the Prosecco it contains. Mission accomplished, then, as proved by the large number of bottles we opened for wine lovers and trade professionals alike.
There was great excitement surrounding our sponsorship and participation in the Mille Miglia – with former Formula 1 driver Ivan Capelli, who will take part in this year’s race in one of our Team’s cars – and a predictable melee of photographers and fans for the beautiful Miriam Leone – ex-Miss Italy and now on the “ Le Iene” TV show – who will be our special testimonial for the 2016 edition of “the most beautiful race in the world” and who stopped by to taste some of our wines on our stand.
At the end of four full and busy days, we had opened no less than a thousand bottles: practically speaking, 8,000 glasses of wine poured and served. Was it a strain? Not at all: the greatest reward and satisfaction for a Wine Group like ours is to see its wines asked for and enjoyed.
