December 13th is the feast day of Saint Lucia, a Christian martyr at the time of Diocletian, commemorated by the proverb "Saint Lucia, the shortest day of the year". It is tradition in the Veneto region for the Saint to bring children gifts on this day.
Beat eggs in a bowl with Parmesan, grated bread, lemon zest and a pinch of nutmeg. Bring stock to boil in a pan and pour in egg mix. Boil for a few minutes, stirring with a hand whisk and serve hot.
