The Merlot vine was imported from France, and was soon grown throughout the whole of the Eastern Veneto. Like the other red wines grown in the Lison-Pramaggiore area, this Merlot is richer-tasting and ages better than Merlot wines from other regions: this is partly due to well-drained soils of calcareous clay and to the advanced vinification skills of the local wine-mathers.
The must is left on the skins for 8/12 days. It is then placed in special tanks where fermentation is completed in contact with selected yeasts in 8-10 days at 25°-30° C.
Tasting notes Elegant, well-structured wine with typical ruby red color. Clean bouquet with notes of currants and violets. Balanced, delicate taste.
Culinary suggestions Indicated with flavourful dishes such as risotto with mushrooms or "alla Milanese", with pasta dishes and meat ravioli. Pleasant accompaniment for boiled or roasted meats, white and red.
