Dulcedo is made from Verduzzo Friulano grapes; this variety has been grown for many years in the Eastern Veneto, although it actually originated in nearby Friuli, where its cultivation undoubtedly dates back a very long time indeed.
Tasting notes
It has a brilliant yellow color with golden highlights. The bouquet opens up with the classic display of a fine dessert wine, which is never overbearing but is ready to reveal its qualities in a progressive manner: the initial perception, sweet and pleasantly honey-like, gradually broadens out to offer tones of apricot jam and dried fruits, with delicate vanilla hints in the background. The sensations of sweetness, warmth and softness that are immediately evident on the palate are balanced by fresh acidity and by the fruit, which extends into a long, seductive finish.
Serving suggestions
It is absolutely delicious with blue or very mature cheeses, and with foie gras. It also makes an ideal accompaniment for all sorts of sweet desserts, in particular fruit tarts, cream desserts or dry
