Canadian AIDS Society Corporate Leadership Award 2010

For the first time since its creation in 1997, the Canadian AIDS Society Corporate
Leadership Award has gone to a non-Canadian, Italian, company. Santa
Margherita S.p.A. was the enterprise that distinguished itself in 2010 for its social
commitment and solidarity in the fight against AIDS, receiving the prestigious
award in Ottowa on 1 December.

For the fourth year running, Veneto-based Santa Margherita was a Platinum
Sponsor supporting the annual National AIDS Walk for Life in aid of scientific
research by donating 50 Canadian cents to the Canadian AIDS Society for
every bottle of Pinot Grigio sold by the retail alcohol monopoly.

The award, which comprises an Individual Category and a Corporate
Category, has gone in the past to influential players on the Canadian and
international scene such as GlaxoSmithKline, Delta Hotels, Canpar and the
ALDO group.

Santa Margherita’s Canadian AIDS Society Corporate Leadership Award 2010 is
especially significant since it is the first ever made to a non-Canadian
enterprise. This is a major honour for Santa Margherita which as well as being an
ambassador for the excellence of Italian wine around the world is strongly
identified with key core values of solidarity and social responsibility.
