Santa Margherita

ProWein 2008 was attended by more than 33,000 trade visitors from over 40 countries: another great success for one of the most important fairs in the wine sector. The 2009 edition (Düsseldorf, 29th -31st March) is expected to be similarly successful.

Santa Margherita will be present again this year with its own stand (Hall 3, E160).
Vinitaly is another of the world’s major exhibitions devoted to wine, its producers and wine lovers. In this case, too, the figures for the 2008 edition were significant:  150,000 trade visitors overall, of whom over 45,000 were from abroad (representing some 30% of the total, almost 15% up on the 2007 edition).

This year’s Vinitaly (Verona, 2nd – 6th April 2009) will be the 43rd edition and, since the first time it was held – in Verona’s main square, Piazza Brà, under the portico of the Gran Guardia – it has witnessed many changes in scale and scope. It now encompasses the whole of the world of wine: that which has proved so effervescent, important and revolutionary for Italian products over the last thirty years.

This year’s edition promises to be a record-breaking one yet again and it will feature a great many new wines and developments … not least at Santa Margherita.
