Sicily is, thanks to its geographical position, a composite world in which races, religions, languages and traditions have met and often clashed, creating a stratification of cultures that is absolutely unique.
As one of the four Italian Regions that produces the most wine, Sicily has - for some years now - assumed a leading role on the Italian wine scene and its products have offered ever-higher standards of quality. Thanks to its sunny, well-ventilated climate and its mainly mountainous or hilly terrain, Sicily represents an ideal environment for growing vines, resulting in the cultivation of excellent grapes and the production of outstanding wines.
For at least the last ten years, the Sicilian wine sector has been renewing its plantings, making research and experimentation in the vineyard the basis for an innovative production process that places the island among the world's emerging wine zones.
In the commune of Sambuca (in the Province of Agrigento) are to be found the vineyards of Terrelíade and Feudo Zirtari.
