Lombardy boasts an area which is famous for the production of sparkling wines
by the traditional classic method Franciacorta. The area in which sparkling
wines are produced includes the townships of Paratico, Capriolo, Adro, Erbusco,
Cortefranca, Iseo, Ome, Monticelli Brusati, Rodengo, Saiano, Paderno Franciacorta,
Passirano, Provaglio d'Iseo, Cellatica e Gussago. This was the first area
to obtain the DOCG denomination for its prestigious sparkling wines. Ca' del Bosco Winery is located at Erbusco, in the heart of Franciacorta.
